myheritage.com

I learned something about a new web site yesterday. It is called myheritage.com. From what I was told it is the only facial feature recognition site currently on line. How it works is, you load you family tree and photos onto the site and it starts making connections matching facial features of the various photos that you load.

It allows you to organize your photos; it even finds the individual faces in group shots. I haven’t tried it yet. I suddenly realized while digging for a particular photo this morning just how many I actually have. Coming soon, as more photos are loaded to the site, its capabilities will expand by matching your photos of unknown people with photos from other people’s trees.

It will be interesting to see if it matches the new photos I have of Ulrich West my 3rd great grandfather with his sons Joseph and my 2nd great grandfather, Jacob.
